History of c++

 C++ History

C++ is an object oriented programming language.
It was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup at AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murrey Hill, New jersey, USA., in the early 1980s.
Bjarne Stroustrup, an admire at Simula67(object oriented language) and the strong supporter of c, wanted to combine the best of both the languages and create a powerful language that could support the object oriented features. And the result was C++.
Class was the major addition to the original language thats' why ,Stroustrup called the new language " C with Classes".
However , The name was changed to c++ in 1983. The idea of the new name comes from the c increment operator ++. There by suggesting that C++ is the incremented version of C.
C++ is the superset of C.
In the early 1990s, the language underwent number of changes and improvements. In november,1997, An ANSI/ISO standard committee standardized these changes and added several new features to the language specifications.
Classes, inheritance, function overload and operator overload are the main features that included in the new language.
All these features gives ability to the programmer to build the large program with clarity.
For these reasons, C++ is most better than C language.
